It thrives in dry, disturbed ground, hugs the soil in low mats, flowers small and yellow, then drops spiked seed pods engineered by evolution to puncture whatever steps on them. Tiny burs. What does THORNADO collect?
Mature goat head burs sitting on the ground surface: yards, paths, gravel, driveways, fence lines. It is designed specifically for Tribulus terrestris burs.
Does it remove the plant?
No, and anyone who promises that is selling you something. THORNADO handles the burs the plant leaves behind. Pulling young plants before they seed is the other half of the job, and the control calendar tells you when.
Can I use it on grass?
It is designed for the places goat heads actually drop their burs: firm, open ground, gravel, dirt paths and short, dry lawn edges. Deep, dense turf keeps burs out of reach of any surface roller.
How do I remove the mesh sleeve?
Peel it back over itself from the bottom up, the way you pull off a sock. The burs stay trapped inside the mesh. Then straight to the trash.
How often should I roll?
During bur drop season, late summer through fall, a regular pass over high-traffic areas works best. The exact rhythm depends on your infestation and your region.
Why does goat head control take more than one season?
Because the seeds already in your soil can stay viable for years. Every bur you collect is a seed that never enters that bank. Consistency wins, which is why the system includes a calendar and not just a roller.
